I believe the DJ has a great responsibility. When I play music I try to understand the dancers' tastes, moods and feelings in order to suggest appropriate music, start a dialogue and gain people's trust. It takes great care in every detail to get this result, but when I get it, there is real communication between me and the dancers. What I like most in milonga is seeing people smiling, chatting, dancing and sharing feelings, together. If this happens, I'm happy about my performance. As a DJ, I believe that the most important feature of this role is being empathetic. You want to feel people and serve them the best way they want.Without dancers, you don't have a milonga. Without a DJ...Cheers Roberto
